Oceanside Tourism extends a warm welcome to delegates planning to attend Tourism Vancouver Island’s Annual Conference, Golf Tournament, and AGM in Parksville.

This year, the Annual Conference will take place Sept 7 - 9 at the Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre, with the opening reception at The Beach Club Resort, and the golf tournament at the Fairwinds Golf Club.

The central Vancouver Island region of Parksville & Qualicum Beach is Canada’s best family friendly beach destination according to Better Homes and Gardens. The Globe & Mail called these towns “Canada’s Riviera”. Local islanders often call this charming collection of beachfront communities "Oceanside".

Parksville & Qualicum Beach may be best known for beaches but there are plenty of other reasons why people visit (in no specific order):

18 BC Parks and regional parks including Cathedral Grove's old growth forest
5 Wildlife refuges – if you have kids, think TV’s “Go Diego Go”
7 Golf courses including one of Vancouver Island’s most photographed holes
A central Vancouver Island location that makes it easy for people to visit and plan trips to other Island attractions
