The Award
The Tourism Employee of the Year Award recognizes a tourism employee that has demonstrated exemplary work performance, thereby enhancing business or customer satisfaction.This individual is valued for their outstanding commitment to improvement and consistently going above and beyond the scope of their assigned responsibilities
The Nominees:
Companies or organizations are encouraged to put forward nominations for an individual within their own company or organization, or that of another that meets the criteria outlined for this award
Criteria and Eligibility:
The nominee must be employed by a tourism-related business operating within the Vancouver Island region. The criteria utilized to select the recipient of this award will be based on the evidence of:
- Specific examples how this individual has gone above and beyond the scope of their assigned responsibilities within the past 12 months.
- Enhanced business (operational or financial) or customer satisfaction as a result of the individuals work.
- Outstanding commitment to improvement
- Commitment to the tourism industry
- Supportive testimonials and/or supporting statements from co-workers, Supervisors and/or customers directly related to the examples explained in question 1.
Submissions:
Nominations for this award must be delivered to the offices of Tourism Vancouver Island no later than 4:30pm on the submission deadline, August 13, 2010.
